The Village of Raymond is a quiet rural community, located west of Interstate 94/41. Located on the south side of the community, right on the border of Yorkville, the Raymond Seventh-day Adventist Church is a place where you can step back from city life and worship alongside fellow believers in the peaceful country stillness. Located only a short drive from the cities of Racine and Burlington, the Richard Bong State Recreational Area, and a handful of beautiful parks and lakes, this church invites you to enjoy a retreat from the weekly hustle and experience meaningful worship.
The Raymond S.D.A. Church was raised up and organized through the evangelistic efforts of Elder John Matteson during the years of 1867-68…So it was on February 28, 1868, the new believers met in the Raymond School where they organized themselves into the Raymond S.D.A. Church consisting of eighteen members…During the first quarter of a century the Danish language was used almost exclusively in the church services. Gradually English came to be used more and more frequently.
